Why Provide Service?

The library recognizes that reading and literacy are important components to the lives of older citizens. Therefore, the library provides outreach services to area nursing homes.  Staff members visit residents and provide them with a variety of reading and listening material.

Special loan periods are arranged and a variety of formats, from magazines to large-print best sellers are available. For more information about the library's outreach program, contact Stephanie Hull at 419-399-2032.

The Future of Outreach Services
Eventually the library would like to provide Homebound service to patrons who for one reason or another are either temporarily or permanently homebound.  The library is prevented from providing such service currently due to budget and staffing constraints.
