Community Outreach

Warm Hearts Warm Homes
A monthly collection is taken through the winter to assist individuals with their heating costs. This program works in collaboration with the local Salvation Army.

AGAPE Fund
The church maintains a fund which is reserved for members of the church who are experiencing financial difficulties. It is distributed at the discretion of the deacons.

Special Offerings
Numerous offerings have been collected and distributed to help others during times of natural disaster. Support has been provided in the weeks following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, after the tsunami that struck off the Indian Ocean in 2004 and to the New York City Rescue Mission after September 11th, 2001.

School Supplies & Food Pantry
The missions committee has been active in collecting school supplies at the beginning of the school year as well as collections for the local food pantry.

Current Missions Allocations
  • Ron & Donna Schumacher: Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines
  • Brian Schwartz: Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines
  • Rocky Favia: Frontier Ministries
  • Project Mercy: International Relief Ministry which was started in 1977 by Marta Gagre-Tsadick and Deme Tedle-Wold to provide emergency relief and relocation to Ethiopian refugees
  • Project Respect: teenage abstinence program
  • Youth for Christ: ministering to the teenage population through after school programs and activities
  • Teen Moms: operated through Youth for Christ to minister to and support pregnant teenage mothers.
  • Campus Crusade: Jesus Video
  • Community Pregnancy Center:  Provides counseling, support and medical services to young mothers.
  • Habitat for Humanity: provides adequate housing to low-income families.
  • Ridge Project: empower teens to overcome obstacles in their lives to become healthy productive adults.
