Paulding County Carnegie Library System |
|
POSTED: September 28, 2011
An immediate opening exists for a Part-Time (25 hour per week) Library Clerk at the main historic Carnegie Library in Paulding. This position is the first face customers see when entering the library through the front door -- therefore, providing a first impression. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, be comfortable using a computer and the Internet, have a warm and friendly personality, and be able to work as a member of the library team. Job duties may include: opening and/or closing the library, checking materials in and out via the library's automated circulation system, answer patrons reference and genealogy questions when the reference librarian is unavailable, answer the phone, direct patrons to information and provide an overall pleasant experience for library customers of all ages. Entry level pay is $8.52 per hour with prorated vacation, sick leave, holidays and Ohio PERS. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required, so flexibility in scheduling will be important. This is your chance to become a part of one of the most successful rural library teams in the country. Openings are rare, and this one exists due to the relocation out-of-state of a team member's spouse and a promotion from within.
To be considered for this position,
candidates must submit a resume as well as a complete and signed library
application (available below) and submit them to Vicky Hull at the main
library in Paulding by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7th. Print a library application. |
